Call 12 For Action recovered $132,062 for Southern New Englanders in 2018
Truly delivering on the WPRI Eyewitness News brand promise among other things to help our local community, 2018's results for consumers by measure of recovering lost money were impressive.
Last year, Call 12 For Action opened more than 1,000 cases for a wide range of consumer complaints, including retail purchases or warranty issues, government and human services, landlord tenant issues, utilities issues, contractors and automobile repair issues.
"To me, that's overwhelming and I'm happy that we're out there helping consumers," Call 12 for Action volunteer Bethany Hashway said. "I love helping people, especially when I hear that their problem is solved."
